Biography

Born in Detroit, MI Dr Afiniwala did his medical schooling from Pramukhswami Medical College in Gujarat, India. After finishing in the top 10% of his class he went on to complete residency training in internal medicine at Brooklyn Medical Center and Texas Tech University. His experience included a year of heart failure training at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.He completed his general cardiology training from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in June of 2014. In addition to the cardiology board he is also both nuclear and echocardiography board certified. Dr. Afiniwala is excited to bring his expertise to provide excellent cardiovascular care and promote heart health to the community of Frankford in Philadelphia.
